On 28th April, the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU) organized a virtual event led by a group of experts from around the world to share their research on the requirement of future skills for seafarers.
The University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) is a member of IAMU which is a global network of leading maritime universities providing Maritime Education and Training (MET) of seafarers for the global shipping industry and has about 70 member entities (universities/academies/faculties) from around the world.
Professor Salman Nazir, scientific leader of the Centre of Excellence in Maritime Simulator Training and Assessment (COAST) joined the webinar as a panellist on behalf of USN along with another speaker Assistant Professor Tine Viveka Westerberg from the Department of Maritime Operations (IMA). More than 280 virtual participants have attended the seminar from all over the world.
